Job Title: PeopleSoft Patch and Tools Specialist

Job Functions:

1. Identify, build, and apply PeopleSoft application and tools patches, bundles, tax updates, maintenance packs, and other fixes.
2. Reapply customizations in conjunction with application patches and tools upgrades
3. Plan, execute and support peopletools upgrades
4. Provide troubleshooting for isolating technical and functional problems in PeopleSoft environments
5. Address issues occurring in the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) including Oracle and SQL Server databases, tuxedo application servers, process schedulers on both Unix and NT, and webserver configuration
6. Analyze and debug issues with SQRs, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Process Schedulers, Application Servers, Application Messaging and Web Servers
7. Debug and optimize SQL statements within Query, SQR, COBOL and Application Engine
8. Develop customizations as required in the PeopleSoft application and the program packages it uses
9. Work in multiple versions of PeopleSoft and PeopleTools including version 8.0 to current release
10. Configure, debug and support PeopleSoft applications in a multi-client remote support environment
12. Work on all phases of a project ** development, testing, production support, etc.
13. Multitask across clients and projects
14. Prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
15. Ability to work flexible hours / weekends for go lives and production patch application efforts

Required Skills:

1. Minimum of 4 years PeopleSoft experience
2. Experience in multiple applications - HR, Financials, Staffing, CRM or Campus Solutions
3. Complete understanding of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture
4. Good understanding of PeopleSoft Patch application updates process
5. Understanding of the PeopleSoft Upgrade process
6. Ability to perform database tuning and performance analysis
7. Application Upgrade experience a plus
8. PeopleSoft Administration experience a plus
9. PeopleSoft Install experience a plus
10. Experience in administering both Oracle and SQL Server database environments is a plus

Accepted candidates will have the skills to provide exceptional Team Management and leadership services to the CedarCrestone’s India Consulting team by being the “champion” of all consultants and helping CCI gain the optimum benefit from our resource investment.

Required Skills:
-       Solid understanding and work experience as a manager in a global PeopleSoft Practice
-       Proven ability to manage a team
-       Minimum of five years hands-on PeopleSoft experience with multiple pillars HCM, FIN, CRM
-       Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationship with sales, team members, Account Executives and Management
-       Ability to organize time effectively and efficiently and prioritize work for team members
-       Proven ability to take ownership of issues and work on issue resolution

General Duties/Tasks:

The Practice Support Lead will assist with developing and managing the PeopleSoft Consulting Practice, mentoring consultants in the practice, support Sales initiatives and will help with Knowledge and Quality Management.
The PL has responsibilities within the following areas: Consultant Management, Resource Scheduling, Recruiting, Support Client/Delivery and Sales.

Consultant Management

§  Manage Consulting Team and everything related to individual performance, competency levels and personnel related issues and escalate as necessary
§  Monitor and track Consultant performance and feedback from Project/Delivery Managers
§  Manage consultant Career goals and aspirations and work actively toward achieving those goals, via training plans and appropriate placement on Projects that help with the goals
§  Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel and facilitate a mentoring program within the practice
§  Responsible for Consultant Time/Expense review and approval and any coordination with HR and F&A

Resource Scheduling

§  Contact for sales personnel and Delivery Managers for project staffing and planning
§  Manage all items coming through the Resource Management System, maintain transparency of Utilization Outlook through accurate Utilization Reports and be prepared for project resource needs based on the pipeline
§  Coordinate consultant interviews for clients and Sales Presentation
§  Balance Consultant bandwidth between Project and Managed Ticket Queues
§  Identify resource needs and recruit to those needs and Coordinate IC contracts, due diligence, and interviews
§  Manage bench resource projects
Support Client/Delivery

§  Responsible for Client Management and Delivery of Managed Client Requests
§  Administer the Development Queue
§  Spearhead the Quality Initiative and progress toward CMM certification
§  Acts as the liaison between the internal project team, executive team, and other key stakeholders
